Different types of Hearing Loss.
Types of Hearing Loss:
Hearing aid is also known as
deaf aid. It is designed to improve hearing. A hearing aid is a small
electronic device such as personal sound amplifier products that you wear in
and behind your ear. Deaf aid has some essential parts such as microphone, Amplifier
and speaker.
Hearing is most important magical kind of sense in our
body. Hearing helps to communicate, understand and listening music etc. Hearing
is very essential for day to day life means daily life. In hearing loss time
,occurs different types of problems and diseases. Hearing loss occurs in every
age group. Hearing aid is also known as deaf aid. It is designed to improve
hearing.Three Types of hearing Loss:-
- Conductive HearingLoss.
- 2Sensorineuralhearing Loss.
- 3Mixed hearingLoss (which is a combination of both).
Conductive Hearing Loss:- This hearing loss affects the passage of sound
between the ear drum and the inner ear. Sound passes down the ear canal to
the ear drum and through the middle ear, where the sound is transmitted across
the middle ear by the three bones called the ossicles to the inner ear.
1
Wax (cerumen):- A build-up of wax in the outer ear may stop sound from reaching the
ear drum.
2 Infection:- Infection and inflammation in the outer ear (otitis externa) or
middle ear (otitis media).
3 Glue
ear (otitis media with effusion) :- Inflammation
in the middle ear with associated fluid filling the middle ear space around the ossicles. The fluid stops
the ossicles and ear drum from moving effectively and stops sound from passing
easily through to the inner ear.
4
Ear surgery :- May damage the ear drum or small bones in the middle ear stopping
sound from passing easily through to the inner ear.
sensorineural hearing Loss:-The Sensorineural hearing loss is also known as SNHL,
and occurs when inner
ear nerves are damaged and cannot properly transmit signals to the brain.Dieases
and Infection is the cause of sensorineural hearing loss.
Causes of Sensorineural Hearing Loss:
1
Dieases and Infections.
2
Head or acoustic trauma.
3 Loud
Noise.
Mixed hearing Loss:-Mixed Hearing Loss is a combination of conductive and Sensorineural
Hearing Loss.
